A Thank You to our Founders Society Members
As we look back on what our Founders have helped us accomplish this year, the Ocean Reef Community can feel very proud of its Medical Center’s relentless commitment, endurance and hope in getting through the most challenging times it has ever faced.
Our Founders’ support not only has helped the Medical Center take care of our community during this pandemic, it also has helped the Medical Center continue to expand its services with a Day Clinic; partnerships with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and FitMed’s wellness program; chiropractic services, acupuncture … and much more on the horizon.
As we reflect on all that we are grateful for this holiday season, we would like to thank our Founders, Super Founders, Lead Donors, Cornerstone, Guardian, Guardian Trustees and our newest Living Legacy Society donor, Allen Krowe.
“Several months ago, I was reflecting on my estate matters and reviewing what more I might do, either during my lifetime or after,” Krowe writes. “It is a different view at age 89 than it was at 65 and 40. As I think of institutions that are important to me at this point in my life, I realized how significant to me it was to have been a Cornerstone Contributor to the Medical Center, along with my wife Frances, when the first shovel of ground was raised to build it, and a subsequent commitment for the 2016 Medical Center Expansion Project.
“I smile as I think of the handwritten thank-you notes from Adelaide Skoglund each year for multi-year pledge fulfillments. I am blessed to have been part of our outstanding Medical Center since its inception and wish to be associated with it for many years to come.
“It’s been a long and wonderful Ocean Reef Club journey from the ORC’s small wooden structure serving Band-Aids and antiseptic at the 4-way stop sign. Therefore, I decided to designate the Ocean Reef Medical Center Foundation as a beneficiary recipient of $1 million. It’s never too late for a new plan,” Krowe writes.
Wishing you good health and happiness during this Holiday Season.
