Introducing Dr. Michelle Weiner, Cannabis and Interventional Pain Management

Michelle Weiner, DO, MPH, is our newest Visiting Specialist at the Medical Center. She’s a unique player in the wellness industry, taking an innovative approach to providing health and wellness services. She is known as South Florida’s Medical Cannabis and Cannabidiol (CBD) expert and educator. Dr. Weiner has been featured in the Miami Herald, PopSugar and Highlife, and on NBC News.

Dr. Weiner is double-board-certified in Interventional Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Spine and Wellness Centers of America. She completed her residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami. She chairs Florida’s Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee and is on the faculty at Florida International University (FIU). At FIU she conducts her research into using Cannabis as a substitute for opioids in chronic pain patients. She is also on the faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University and a Preceptor at Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine where she educates medical students through shadowing opportunities in her office.
