A Night Out with the Medical Center: Monday, Feb. 3, 2025

Please join us in welcoming Yuliya Linhares, M.D., a medical oncologist specializing in the comprehensive treatment of lymphoma. Dr. Linhares' presentation, "Optimizing Your Microbiome Through Diet," will be the subject of this season's second Night Out at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at the Cooking School at Carysfort Kitchen.
Dr. Linhares is the Chief of the Lymphoma, Blood and Transplant Program at Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Linhares will highlight certain foods that benefit the microbiome.
Optimizing your health without medications and gaining control of your microbiome and epigenetics is possible through proper diet, exercise and behaviors. The microbiome is the community of microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and viruses, usually described to live in the gastrointestinal tract or skin. These groups of microorganisms are dynamic and change in response to a host of environmental factors such as exercise, diet, medication and other exposures. Epigenetics is the study of how your behaviors and changes are reversible and do not change your DNA sequence, but they can change how your body reads a DNA sequence.
Cocktails and tasting will follow Dr. Linhares' presentation from 6 to 7 p.m. Seating is limited and by RESERVATION ONLY. Please email to make a reservation.
