Keith Young is Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Center at Ocean Reef and its supporting organization, the Ocean Reef Medical Center Foundation. Young came to the Medical Center in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the facility startup and clinical programs.
Prior to his tenure at the Medical Center, Young operated and built ambulatory surgical centers designed as physician partnerships within South Florida’s largest non-profit healthcare network, Baptist Health South Florida. These centers served hundreds of surgeons and thousands of patients each year while providing access to more than 10 surgical specialties. During his decade at Baptist Health, he also orchestrated turn-around operations for Baptist Hospital's Imaging Library and Pineapples Café, a favorite campus eating establishment. He served as the Chairman of Baptist Hospital’s Directors Forum and was the premiere recipient of Baptist Health Enterprises' Leader of the Year Award.
A Member of American College of Healthcare Executives, American Society of Clinical Pathology and American Medical Technology, Young has spent his life helping others with his clinical and operational skills. A Desert Storm veteran, he spent 12 years in service to the United States Air Force and was recognized with numerous awards and medals of accommodation. He also directed a multi-specialty medical practice group in Houston where he was raised with a supportive family of NASA engineers. As a Boy Scout he earned his rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 773, Houston.
Young earned his A.S. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology while serving in the Air Force, a Baccalaureate degree in Biochemistry and Medical Technology from the University of Texas, and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. |
