MCOR Welcomes New Dermatology Specialist

The Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Mohs Surgeon Peter G. Bittar, M.D., to the Visiting Specialists Program. Dr. Bittar is a double-board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon specializing in surgical, cosmetic and medical dermatology.
Dr. Bittar completed his undergraduate studies the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. After medical school he completed his residency training in dermatology at Indiana University, where he served as Chief Resident.
He completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Yale University School of Medicine where he received extensive training in the medical and surgical management of high-risk skin cancer, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatology. He also served as a faculty member at Yale, teaching residents and medical students the fundamentals of dermatologic surgery and aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Bittar is passionate about the treatment and prevention of skin cancer and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented both nationally and internationally. He strives to give his patients the highest quality of care and attention through a personalized approach that aims to minimize scarring, preserve form, and enhance patients’ natural beauty.
