Lecture Series: Spine Disorders & Treatment

Please join us Monday, Feb. 10, for a detailed and informative lecture about spine disorders and treatment by Dr. Ali Bydon, Clinical Director of the Spine Program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The lecture will take place at 5 p.m. in the Cultural Center Theater.

The title of Dr. Bydon’s lecture is “Neurosurgery, Degenerative Spine Disorders, Spinal Tumors, and Complex Spine Reconstruction – Restoration,” during which he will discuss the latest updates in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgical techniques, clinical outcomes and information on various disorders of the spine.

Dr. Bydon is an educator who has helped train more than 30 practicing neurosurgeons. In addition to his responsibilities domestically, he also serves as Medical Director of Johns Hopkins Medicine International, overseeing the clinical, educational, teaching and research activities of Johns Hopkins’ Brazilian affiliate, Hospital Moinhos de Vento.

Dr. Bydon is 2011 recipient of Johns Hopkins’ prestigious Richard Otenasak Faculty Teaching Award and serves as co-director of Neurosurgical Medical Student Education. He has been named Maryland’s Favorite Physician annually since 2008 and was selected by his peers as Baltimore Magazine’s Top Doctor for 2014. He was recently elected as neurosurgical representative on the Johns Hopkins Faculty Senate.
