Lecture: Innovations in Joint Health

Please join us at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at the Cultural Center Theatre, for the next lecture in the 2026 Medical Center Lecture Series, when James Voos, M.D., Chairman of University Hospital Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, will present “Innovations in Joint Health: Stem Cells to Joint Replacement.”

Dr. Voos is a nationally renowned expert in the care of athletes and active patients of all ages. Specializing in sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder and elbow, he performs a high volume of knee ACL reconstructions including revisions, multi-ligament surgeries and shoulder and elbow arthroscopy.

He has a passion for using his expertise in wearable technology, injury prevention and sports performance to advance the safety and education of athletes. He is the head team physician for the Cleveland Browns and Medical Director for Cleveland Ballet. He also is the lead orthopaedic surgeon for a number of Cleveland-area colleges and high schools. He was elected to the American Association of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine’s (AOSSM) Ohio Council of Delegates and STOP Sports Injuries Committee, and served on the prestigious NFL Musculoskeletal Injury Committee. He has served as President of the National Football League Physicians Society since 2024.
