Lecture Series: “Breast Cancer Uncovered”

Join us on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. in the Cultural Center Theatre with speaker Jose Pablo Leone, M.D., Director of the Program for Breast Cancer in Men and Senior Physician Assistant Professor of Medicine Harvard Medical School, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston, Mass. Dr. Torres-Russotto’s presentation, “Breast Cancer Uncovered: What you Need to Know to Stay Ahead,” is the second of five informative lectures in the 2025 Medical Center Lecture Series.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top center for cancer care for 24 consecutive years.
Dr. Leone will discuss the advances in breast cancer screening, early detection and awareness, and how they have significantly improved survival rates in recent years. He will also discuss current methods for early treatment and the prevalence of breast cancer today.
Breast cancer is not limited to women and although rare, men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer. We encourage everyone with an interest in this disease to attend this informative lecture and learn more about breast cancer, its causes and cures, and what the future holds for new treatments and detection.
