Ladies & Mens Night Out: Feb. 12

Dr. Michael Raisch

Please join us in welcoming Michael Raisch, M.D., who will speak about “Skin Cancer and Safety” during Ladies & Men’s Night Out at the Medical Center at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12. Dr. Raisch is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologist at Miami Cancer Institute and specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology for the treatment of skin cancer. He is board certified in both micrographic dermatologic surgery and general dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute in 2021, Dr. Raisch worked in private practice in Miami, Florida, and Boulder, Colorado. He was also previously an attending physician for the dermatology department at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Raisch’s research has been published in multiple medical journals including Science, Dermatitis, The American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology, and Developmental Biology. He has also presented at several national medical meetings and is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Raisch’s approach to patient care is to learn his patients’ priorities and collaborate with them to determine the optimal treatment plan to achieve their goals. Dr. Raisch states, “I love being outside and feel like being active and living a full life is so important to people’s mental health, their physical health, their cardiovascular health, so I don’t want people to stay inside. I want them to protect their skin, wear hats and sunscreen and get out there and live a full life.”

Many thanks to Baptist Health South Florida for sponsoring the Feb. 12 Nights Out at the Medical Center. A cocktail reception will follow the lecture from 6 to 7 p.m.
