Boutique D'Reef is here again!
 
Mark your calendars for February 28 – March 1. It’s Boutique D’Reef's three-day event showcasing beautifully crafted and designed jewelry, clothing for men, women and children, home décor and more!

Many of you have attended Boutique D’Reef for the entirety of its existence and know its origins. For those of you who are new to Boutique D’Reef, there is quite a history behind the event. 

In 1991,  three enterprising women, Denny Morgan, Adelaide Skoglund and Mary Zick, had the vision to create a fund-raiser for the (at that time) relatively new Ocean Reef Medical Center Foundation, in support of the Medical Center. Their concept of providing elegant clothing, jewelry and gifts with the convenience of not leaving Ocean Reef was a natural lead in to creating the yearly Boutique D’ Reef event.  

Its humble beginnings started with borrowing someone’s home and garage to hold the very first event. It was a success and more space was needed the following year. Several different locations were tried; each year needed more expansive space and parking. Word began to spread in the little world of vendors who attend “shows” and nationwide requests began to appear from vendors wishing to participate at Boutique D’Reef. Each summer and fall the Boutique chairladies go through the somewhat arduous task of looking at sample products and selecting just the right vendors to participate at the next event.  

Boutique D’Reef, chaired this year by Christina Fisher, Denny Morgan, Adelaide Skoglund and Mary Zick has collectively donated over one million dollars to the Medical Center Foundation. The proceeds collected consist of the small entry fee shoppers pay, vendor’s booth fees and a 15% commission on sales from each participating vendor.
