Night Out series continues!   The first “Ladies Night Out” at the Medical Center was a huge success, attended by more than 110 women eager to know not only how we "can look as good as we feel", but be better informed about new techniques and non-surgical treatments as well as the latest minimally invasive procedures.  Dr. John Cassel, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery gave a very informative talk emphasized by a power point presentation showing the miracles that can be performed whether it be breast reconstruction following mastectomy, a correction of a deformity, liposuction, tummy tuck, implants, laser and chemical peels or a face lift -just to make you feel better about your appearance.    Ladies….you heard it here first!!!!!  Adelaide Skoglund, Vice President of the Medical Center at Ocean Reef announced that not only will Dr.Cassel be a regular visiting specialist to the Medical Center but also he will be able to perform certain types of “office based” surgical procedures at the Medical Center. This also benefits Medical Center patients having Mohs surgery by visiting specialist, Dr. Giuffreda.  Mohs surgeons and plastic surgeons frequently work together to give their patients the best possible cosmetic outcome.  From Mohs surgery to whatever surgery you may be contemplating, just think of the prospect of having a procedure done and being able to recover in the privacy of your own home, knowing that medical attention is only a golf cart ride away. Forget the men in our lives?….never! This year, for the first time, we will have a special “Men's Night Out” on February 13 featuring Dr. John Mekras from Miami Urology. This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear about the latest techniques and procedures in the world of urology.  So men, come with your concerns, questions and just willingness to learn and discuss in an intimate setting everything you want to know about this topic.  The question and answer session following the talk by Dr. Mekras will surely be informative and lively.
